FSC™ Certification
Paperboard makes up around 70% of a carton’s material. All Wintipak sites hold FSC™ Chain of Custody certification — ensuring our fibers come from responsibly managed forests.

Our production facility in Halle, Germany, uses 100% FSC™-certified paperboard — making it one of Europe’s leaders in sustainable packaging.

RSB® Certification
Another key material is polymer. Our plant in Halle is certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB®) to use tall oil–based bio-attributed polymers in packaging coatings — tracked under a mass balance system.

Plant-Based Content
Wintipak uses a mass balance approach to calculate the renewable content in our cartons, including:

Recycling
Our aseptic carton packs are fully recyclable and designed to have a low environmental footprint. Wintipak supports carton recycling initiatives worldwide — including post-consumer collection systems.

We’re also part of Holy Grail 2.0, a cross-industry initiative using digital watermarks for smarter waste sorting. This tech improves recycling rates and the quality of recovered materials.
